We’re working with a fast-growing cybersecurity company building a modern zero trust access platform used by organizations to securely connect users to internal and cloud-based resources.

They’re hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to help design and build the core systems that power authentication, authorization, and secure access at scale.

 

What You’ll Do

• Build and scale backend systems that handle authentication, authorization, and access control
• Own features end-to-end—from design through production
• Develop high-performance APIs and services used by a large and growing user base
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teams to ship impactful features
• Improve system performance, reliability, and scalability
• Contribute to architecture decisions and mentor other engineers

What They’re Looking For

• Strong backend experience with Python (Django, FastAPI, or Flask)
• Experience building high-scale web applications (large user base, high throughput)
• Proven track record of owning systems or products for 2–3+ years
• Deep focus on backend engineering (~90% backend)
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred, AWS acceptable)
• Strong fundamentals in APIs, distributed systems, and database design
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, startup environment with high ownership

Nice to Have

• Experience in security, authentication, or access control systems
• Familiarity with GraphQL, Kubernetes, and microservices architectures
• Startup experience or experience in high-growth environments
