About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and grow a high-performing engineering team at an early-stage, product-driven software company. This role blends people leadership, technical direction, and cross-functional collaboration. You’ll help scale both the team and the product while maintaining a high bar for engineering quality.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of software engineers, fostering growth and accountability
- Partner closely with Product and Design to plan, scope, and deliver new features
- Set technical direction and uphold best practices around code quality, testing, and system design
- Balance hands-on technical involvement with people management and strategic planning
- Drive execution in a fast-paced environment while managing trade-offs and priorities
- Build a strong engineering culture focused on ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, including prior people-management experience
- Strong technical background building and scaling web or backend systems
- Experience leading teams in startup or high-growth environments
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Comfortable operating in a remote, distributed team environment
Nice to Have
- Experience building or scaling SaaS products
- Background working with cloud-native or distributed systems
- Prior experience hiring and scaling engineering teams

$190 - 250K
