Antitrust Paralegal

We are currently seeking a mid-level Antitrust Paralegal to provide substantive organizational, file, and case management and legal assistance on matters for clients of the antitrust practice group and to work on large scale litigation and merger review matters supporting attorneys and clients.

This position offers a hybrid schedule and requires three days onsite in our Washington, D.C. office with the possibility of additional required in-office days depending on business and client needs. The work schedule for this position (non-exempt) will be 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday, from 9:00 am - 5:30 pm.

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist with complex Hart-Scott-Rodino and other antitrust regulatory filings made with U.S. and foreign antitrust authorities
  • Coordinate and prepare documents for production (e.g., proofreading, Bates-labeling, redacting, duplicating, and withholding and logging privileged documents)
  • Conduct factual investigations and research
  • Attend and contribute to client and legal team meetings as needed
  • Serve as liaison with legal document processing vendors
  • Populate and set up relevant information into designated datarooms and databases
  • Provide organizational support such as cataloging large volumes of documents in both electronic and hard copy form
  • Assist with completing and submitting filings to federal and state courts
  • Monitor case dockets on certain issues and report developments to team
  • Assist with preparing and maintaining witness binders, interview documents, and presentations for the legal team
  • Assist with maintaining case chronologies
  • Participate in training and development programs offered by the Firm

 

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail and ability to proofread
  • Independent, self-motivated, and results oriented
  • Familiarity with Hart-Scott-Rodino premerger notification filings
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office, Microsoft SharePoint, iManage or other document management software
  • Excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills
  • Able to work quickly and efficiently under time pressure with minimal supervision
  • Experience as a paralegal supporting the FTC’s Bureau of Competition or the DOJ’s Antitrust Division is desired, but not required

 

Reporting to the Director of Paralegal Management, the ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-4 years of antitrust experience. This position requires a bachelor’s degree and/or a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program. ​


The anticipated range for this position is:

$85,000 - $133,750
