The Business Development Analyst will leverage research, writing and analytical skills to support the firm in executing business development and marketing initiatives for assigned practice groups. The analyst will work closely with the Senior Business Development Manager, other members of the Global Business Development team and attorneys to achieve Firm and business development goals.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with the preparation of pitches and RFP responses, including preparing first drafts of pitch and proposal content and maintaining records for, and analyzing outcomes of, pitches and fee proposals.
- Organizing and coordinating the league table processes and submissions across the Corporate BD team.
- Supporting practice groups with compiling directory submissions, including Chambers, Legal 500 and IFLR1000; as well as coordinating with the relevant teams on award submissions and other profile-raising initiatives.
- Attending practice group and client team meetings and preparing agendas, materials and minutes in connection with such meetings.
- Working with the CRM team to maintain and update BD activities and frequently used mailing lists in Firm CRM system.
- Collaborating with the Research & Competitive Intelligence team to generate detailed client intelligence reports in advance of pitches and other client meetings and in connection with targeting projects; and preparing competitive and market analysis reports.
- Assisting with the development and execution of business development strategies, plans and projects, including identifying and evaluating new business opportunities and targets, facilitating cross-selling initiatives and participating on client-specific target teams.
- Liaising with the Events team to plan and execute internal and external events, seminars and webinars and assist with sponsorships; and
- Coordinating with the Marketing & Communications teams on website content and other practice-specific content.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree and two to three years of business development experience. Law firm/professional services or marketing experience is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong ability to handle time-sensitive requests and work in a fast-paced environment. Expected to monitor emails outside of normal business hours and be available as needed.
- Detail-oriented and interested in results – extremely proactive and consistently meets deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Experience working independently as well as within cross-functional teams in a collaborative, professional environment.
- Outstanding analytical and research skills and the ability to process information from a wide variety of sources and present in a concise manner.
The estimated base salary range for this position is $80,000 to $95,000 at the time of posting.
