Senior Business Development Coordinator (Multiple Locations)

New York City, NY

This role is hybrid and can work in any of the following offices: NYC, Silicon Valley, San Francisco, Washington DC, Seattle or Santa Monica

Seeking a Senior Business Development Coordinator who will further the firm’s marketing efforts through support of a variety of practice groups, individual partners, senior marketing staff and oversight of business development coordinators and assistants. This position can be based in any of our U.S. office locations.


Job Description:

  • Maintain and report on various sales metrics that will help improve the efficiency of the firm’s marketing efforts.
  • Prepare research and marketing/sales materials for meetings with prospective clients.
  • Assist the Business Development Manager in responding to proposal opportunities.
  • Assist the Business Development Manager in completing post-mortems on lost pitches.
  • Supervise data entry of pre and post pitch activities to CRM database.
  • Maintain updates to marketing client lists, experience management database and pitch templates.
  • Assist with submissions to ranking agencies.
  • Support of the firm website, including updates to practice attorney biographies, awards and representative matters.
  • Support of various research projects for practice groups and industry teams.
  • Take ownership of project timelines, advising on necessary lead time and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Liaise with multiple offices, practice groups and other Firm internal functions (e.g., FLEX by Fenwick, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Pro Bono) on cross-departmental projects as appropriate.

  • Promote a collaborative work environment focused on providing superior service to internal clients (our partners) and external firm clients.
  • Self-motivated, takes initiative and able to take ownership of projects and handle multiple, complex projects simultaneously.
  • Strong client service ethic and ability to respond quickly to requests from lawyers and leadership.
  • Attention to detail and highly organized, productive and accurate under pressure with tight deadlines (a sense of humor helps, too).
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to proactively provide solutions that circumvent anticipated problems.
  • Understanding of law firm sales cycle and professional services business development best practices.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Products (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel); CRM, marketing automation and project management tools (Salesforce, Foundation and ClickUp).
  • Intermediate understanding of technology industries (AI, software, mobile, life sciences, cleantech, etc.) and legal services (venture capital, startup, IP, litigation, etc.)
  • Excellent grammar, spelling and proofreading skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the qualified candidate will have 3+ years of business development experience in a fast-paced professional services environment (law firm experience a plus). The ideal candidate will also have experience coordinating complex projects and working within deadlines. Bachelor’s degree required.


Salary: $74 - 98K
