HRIS Analyst

The primary focus of this position is the maintenance of the HRIS system to ensure accurate processing of employee data. This position serves as a point-of-contact for all HRIS transactional queries. The HRIS analyst also assists with testing, project management and other projects as assigned.

  • Provide general and organizational support to the HR and HRIS Department.
  • Enter and update employee information into Workday.
  • Respond professionally to telephone calls and emails to the HRIS hotline and direct inquiries appropriately.
  • Work with department manager on project management of end user issues, configuration issues and new Workday functionality to ensure accurate and timely resolution.
  • Prepare and continuously maintain Workday training materials including the Intranet Wiki and Quick Reference Cards.
  • Represent management by communicating and obtaining information and following-up on delegated assignments. Assist with Workday testing of the semiannual release as well as updates throughout the year.
  • Assist with Workday onboarding and new hire training.
  • Run Workday reports.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all data. Update job knowledge by participating in internal and external training opportunities.
  • Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested for successful operation of the department.

  • Advanced knowledge of Workday.
  • Proven experience with entering data into systems, maintaining data integrity throughout the employees life cycle.
  • Must be able to make quick decisions on knowing when to act on own or when to refer matters to others.
  • Must be able to multi-task by accepting, prioritizing and delegating tasks.
  • Must demonstrate consistent initiative, leadership and collaboration skills to succeed and work in a team environment.
  • Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills in order to communicate and follow instructions to effectively provide optimum support to a diverse group.
  • Ability to manage a varied workload and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and other applications as needed.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with others.
  • Flexibility in daily schedule to accommodate unexpected situations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related discipline.
