Sharepoint Administrator

International Law Firm is seeking SharePoint Administrator. The Candidate must be proficient in administering all aspects of the SharePoint 2013/2016 environments including design, availability, reliability, performance, monitoring and security. Candidates must also possess strong communication and documentation skills, able to work in a team environment as well as work independently and proactively as needed to identify problems and find solutions.


Responsibilities
  • Oversee the SharePoint infrastructure, user access and application deployment
  • Support the architecture planning, installation, configuration, security, operation, and maintenance of all SharePoint servers and software related to SharePoint infrastructure
  • Perform system administrative activities such as site creation, backup/restore, monitoring, troubleshooting and performance analysis ensuring high availability of the SharePoint environment
  • Maintain current industry knowledge of development concepts, best practices and procedures for SharePoint solutions
  • Experience in IIS administration, installation, and configuration
  • Supports software development teams by creating sandboxes, deploying and managing new features and packages
  • Research best practices, and recommends the approach for applying hot fixes, patches, cumulative updates, and service packs that meet security and functionality requirements.
  • Collaborating with infrastructure, security and application development teams to ensure optimal performance of SharePoint/IIS-related websites
  • Strong understanding of Windows Servers environments, load balancers, general networking, firewall concepts and vulnerability management/resolution
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours


Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related area
  • 5+ years of experience as a SharePoint Administrator
  • Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture and experience working with SharePoint Enterprise 2013/2016
  • Experience configuring and working with Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) and SQL Server
  • Solid understanding of SharePoint command line parameters and able to administer, troubleshoot, and gather data using PowerShell commands
  • Scripting and automation; experience using Powershell
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Solid analytical, critical thinking, leadership, and mentoring skills
  • Experience with Handshake and nGage is a plus
  • Experience with Enterprise Search is a plus
  • Experience in a law firm or professional services environment is a plus
